- How do I add internet video such as TED, YouTube, CNET etc?
- Internet sources are added using the App Store found in the Applications menu. See the following screencast for more info. vimeo.com/3315184
- One of the plug-ins has stopped working.
- If a plug-in stops working, it’s likely that the structure of the site changed. This doesn’t happen very frequently with most sites, but it’s a definite possibility. When this occurs, an entity we call the “Campfire Robot” springs into action automatically and tracks us down to let us know, and shortly thereafter we can push an update. As such, if a site stops working, the best thing to do is to check the App Store for updates. If you have automatic updates turned on, check your install history to see if an update got installed while you were getting coffee.
- I don’t see the Applications Menu Item.
- If you previously used v5 of Plex we suggest deleting the folder called Plex found in ~/Library/Application Support/. Many things have changed and a fresh install will ensure the best performance with Plex.
- How do I make Movies and TV Shows show up in their respective areas with poster art, plot info, etc?

Plex/Seven: The Countdown begins
We’ve all been coding until our fingers bleed, and now we’re almost ready to give you the fruits of our labor in the form of the new development series of Plex. The first release went out last night to our testers, and things are looking good.
Since there are so many new features, we’re going to detail them in blog posts, one feature per day. The first one will be posted later on today.
In the meantime, if you’re looking to show your plexy side, come visit our new web store that Isaac and Alexis set up, where you can pick up a Plex t-shirt or mug!

Need info now!
what about plex .6?
Bring on the new features….
I have been waiting for this release since Plex forked. Damnit I should have been a tester.
@grey: Plex v0.6 (affectionately known as Plex/Six) will be released slightly after or at the same time as this new release, with a handful of bug-fixes.
2 new posts and no Barkley!!
Can’t wait to see what else you guys have in store. Especially regarding iTunes integration.
Thanks!!!
@Aaron: You’re not kidding. All I’ve wanted for 6 months are the AC3 optical audio fixes. VLC doesn’t hold a candle to Plex, but I can’t very well watch HD movies with stereo audio.
Can you not do the mug in black – like the tshirts?
