still seems to have incredibly quiet analogue audio output on my mac mini (core2duo 1.83ghz).

vlc, quicktime, mplayer etc; are deafening with the mac at full volume and the monitor at full volume; plex is audible and thats about it.

i've checked and volume is set to 0.0db using "=" key and menu option, the only movement is down - which does decrease the volume even more.

Hmm. I have updated (via Sparkle) and when I press Menu when in the root in Plex, the Shutdown Menu does not appear. It just quits as earlier.
Also, I dont know what you mean by backlight now being off, but when I have my iMac screen as blanked, its still greyish (like its light shinning behind it still).

@rickler: Does your iMac backlight actually turn off or is the brightness just set to the minimum value? BTW, there's a topic for this in the forums: http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?s=&showtopic=1357&view=findpost&p=10500

Another top release elan et al. With my iMac connected to an HDTV, I think it would be useful to be able to turn off backlight displays automatically on video playback only.

Is this possible?

It is ok. Turn off the backlight on displays that are blanked it is cool, but when i exit display is still black. Plex doesn't turn on the blacklight.
And my receiver still can't accept the dd5.1 from PLex.
Anyway thanks for this new and awesome release.
