Release 0.5-RC2: Stability?
OK, the following new release should fix the nasty regression with non-primary screens (HTTP, Bittorrent, Source). Enjoy, I’m off to bed.

Would have ruled if you included a bucket-name in your Amazon S3 links so they actually worked
@talonlzr: Damn humans, so imperfect we are. Fixed. Goodnight.
thanks for your effort but the links dont’ work.
nevermind;)
Thank you! Gonna try this tonight.
Thanks for the great update. I’m still having issues with subtitles, but I’ll post that in the forums.
(sorry for the bad english)
I’ve noticed an annoying behavior of Plex while toggeling the fullscreen mode. I don’t know whether it is a bug, or supposed to be like that.
1. Launch Plex
2. Play a video
3. Press ⌘-F to switch to fullscreen
4. Press the tab key while the video is playing. You are now in the menu
5. Press the tab key again. You are now back to the video, but not in fullscreen anymore
The bug doesn’t occur if you switch to fullscreen, before you start the video
If you configure Plex to launch in fullscreen, the bug occurs the other way round.
1. Launch Plex
2. Play a video
3. Press ⌘-F to leave fullscreen
4. Press the tab key while the video is playing. You are now in the menu
5. Press the tab key again. You are now back to the video, but in fullscreen
Again, this does only occur if a video is playing while Toggeling the Fullscreen
Hey thanks so much elan - it’s working great. Movie fanart looks superb.
Great work guys. Any word on when the CS skin will make an appearance?
Great work.. this thing is really moving along.
One note, and I’ll post it in the bugs area.. I can’t play any of my ripped video_ts videos. Stacked or unstacked PLEX crashes immediately upon executing. .AVI videos and .MKV videos play fine.
Excellent work! My secondary display works now fine.
The only thing I miss from the previous beta releases, is the dock icon - the new Plex icon’s overall look is not as it is commonly in OSX applications. I know that designing a pretty OSX dock icon is painstaking job, but still. This is just for your consideration
…
But great thanks to Elan for the good work you are doing!
Excellent, Barkley in baground of the DMG
I will test the thing and come back for feedback if needed (mainly the subtitles problems when going backwards, etc.)
Thanks for all this, keep up the good work!
Hi, streaming iso-files makes Plex crash, worked well up until 0.5.0b10 but after that it breaks the app. avi-files work well. Also problem with script-apps, the start but the links doesnt work in them for example apple trailers and others as well.
Thanks for all your hard work!
Plex crashes 100% of the time when playing video_ts files. See forum in general help for log file. Worked perfectly in previous release. Not sure what is going on. Video upscaling is disabled also.
Elan, as always tremendous work!!! Ignore the whiners and naysayers. Just know that your work is appreciated by so many now! I can’t help but get the feeling that the most important thing to ever happen to mac HTPC is in progress here! …you too Barkley
Nice release
I especially like the background image in the installer.. but i just have one tiny little change request:
When the installer opens on my tiny 13″ macbook display the window opens to the right, almost off screen, this didn’t happen to the first couple releases but its been like this for awhile..
To bad… AC3 5.1 sound isn’t working for me. Was hoping that the new release fixing this problem.
Just to report I am not whining, I appreciate all the hard work and am trying my best to report back to help the cause. I use PLEX on 3 mini’s as my main HTPC software. I was just pointing out that the inability to play a ripped DVD in this version is probably not good for most people and the developers would probably want to resolve this ASAP. Thanks to all for your hard work and quick support!
@xfiring: Reporting a bug is totally not taken as whining. The VIDEO_TS regression is serious, and I’ll be looking into it shortly, thanks to all the great crash reports that came in and the forum activity. Thank you, community!
