- How do I add internet video such as TED, YouTube, CNET etc?
- Internet sources are added using the App Store found in the Applications menu. See the following screencast for more info. vimeo.com/3315184
- One of the plug-ins has stopped working.
- If a plug-in stops working, it’s likely that the structure of the site changed. This doesn’t happen very frequently with most sites, but it’s a definite possibility. When this occurs, an entity we call the “Campfire Robot” springs into action automatically and tracks us down to let us know, and shortly thereafter we can push an update. As such, if a site stops working, the best thing to do is to check the App Store for updates. If you have automatic updates turned on, check your install history to see if an update got installed while you were getting coffee.
- I don’t see the Applications Menu Item.
- If you previously used v5 of Plex we suggest deleting the folder called Plex found in ~/Library/Application Support/. Many things have changed and a fresh install will ensure the best performance with Plex.
- How do I make Movies and TV Shows show up in their respective areas with poster art, plot info, etc?

Great, amazing job!!
Just a request: is it possible to put on the home page of plexapp.com a direct link to this blog (so I can rid of my osxbmc bookmark - yes, I am lazy but I like things beeing tidied up, I know
- )
I couldn’t create an account, I get an unreachable external database error. I thought I had created an account with the Plex site previously (but that was probably the trac site…Getting hard to keep track with all the name changes and site/management software changes).
I hope things settle down and remain unchanged for a spell, to allow for continued fast-paced development/testing purposes.
@Mickey: will do!
@gmackenz: The operative word here is convergence. To a single domain, and a single set of tools that won’t change. The fast-paced development is continuing behind the scenes, I’m readying 0.5-RC1 as we speak, with a ton of bug-fixes.
Just FYI, I made a small addition to the how to compile page, and got a database error, although my addition was saved.
That logo looks kinda cheesy
@migueld: It’s a placeholder until we get some real help in that department
elan I liked your other mock-up better as a placeholder
but sure

1. Database errors should be fixed now. If you still get an error please head over the forums and post the full text of the error so I can narrow it down!
2. Registration is turned Off on the wiki, all account creation is done on the forums (http://forums.plexapp.com). Once you have an account there you will be able to login to the wiki.
I was able to log onto the wiki page, using my existing forum account info.
