- How do I add internet video such as TED, YouTube, CNET etc?
- Internet sources are added using the App Store found in the Applications menu. See the following screencast for more info. vimeo.com/3315184
- One of the plug-ins has stopped working.
- If a plug-in stops working, it’s likely that the structure of the site changed. This doesn’t happen very frequently with most sites, but it’s a definite possibility. When this occurs, an entity we call the “Campfire Robot” springs into action automatically and tracks us down to let us know, and shortly thereafter we can push an update. As such, if a site stops working, the best thing to do is to check the App Store for updates. If you have automatic updates turned on, check your install history to see if an update got installed while you were getting coffee.
- I don’t see the Applications Menu Item.
- If you previously used v5 of Plex we suggest deleting the folder called Plex found in ~/Library/Application Support/. Many things have changed and a fresh install will ensure the best performance with Plex.
- How do I make Movies and TV Shows show up in their respective areas with poster art, plot info, etc?

Good news and bad news
The good news is that I’ve made substantial progress in getting Python to work in OSXBMC. The bad news? I’m now addicted to the Tetris script and likely won’t get much more work done this weekend.
There are still some issues to be figured out, but hopefully I’ll be able to make a release this coming week with Python enabled.
(This also means that the Mach-O processor that wraps some stdio/stdlib calls seems to be working, which means that the full power of XBMC’s virtual file system should work once I run the processor on all the libraries. Which means thumbnails over SMB and probably lot of other things.)
Now I have to get back to Tetris.
Luckily my C++ is better than my Tetris
Downloads the zip, but is unable to unzip it.

Great progress as always. With python support, I may have to donate more money for beer! Heh heh…
Hey elan,
as much as i’d like to say “hurry up and get finished” i can’t!
With all the work you and others have put in since OSXBMC started, I’m very impressed anyways. and i don’t think any of us will deny you a bit of pleasure playing tetris!
and beside, you’ll get bored of it soon!
enjoy the beer!
Not a very good tetris player either from that screenshot
Elan, you have your fun with tetris! In fact, you do whatever the heck you want! Meanwhile we will sit at your feet in awe… (refreshing every 5 minutes in hopes of a new release!)
Seriously thanks for all your hard work on this. we are all amazed!!!
nice ^^
but when emulator port come you will try THE excellent tetris 3 (snes)
The best and only tetris remains the original arcade version by Atari/Tengen in the arcades. It plays perfectly well with MacMame and Mame OS X
If you’re into using SABnzbd for downloading from newsgroups..
does anyone know if this would work on the OSX version?

i will try it when i’m back home… stuck at work =P
If you’re on OSX, use this http://www.hellanzb.com/trac/
Pretty easy install from MacPorts.
Elan: Did you have to map any keys to be able to play tetris? I can only move the blocks left and right, but can’t figure how to turn them around?
@tenthumbs: The key works for me to rotate the pieces.
